1.1 The website www.astoria.co.il (the “Website”) is operated by Astoria Hotels Ltd., company number 510494602, of 13 Bruria Street, Tiberias, which operates the Astoria Galilee Hotel (the “Hotel” or “we”).
1.2 The Website provides information about the Hotel, its rooms, services and local attractions. It allows users to book a stay directly with the Hotel, join the loyalty club and contact us (collectively, the “Services”).
1.3 Use of the Website is subject to these Terms and the Hotel’s Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Browsing the Website or taking an action on it constitutes acceptance of these Terms. Anyone who does not agree to these Terms should not use the Website.
1.4 You may book on the Website if you are at least 18 years old and have legal capacity. A valid credit card or another payment method accepted by the Hotel is also required.
1.5 These Terms use masculine language for convenience only and apply to all genders. If the Hebrew text conflicts with a translation into another language, the Hebrew text prevails.
1.6 The Hotel may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on the Website when an action is taken is the applicable version. A confirmed booking remains subject to the terms that applied when it was made.
2.1 Bookings are made through the Simple Booking booking engine integrated into the Website. During the booking process, you select dates, room type, guest composition, board basis and rate. Before the booking is confirmed, the total price, inclusions and cancellation terms for the selected rate will be shown.
2.2 A booking is considered confirmed only after an email confirmation with a booking number has been sent. The confirmation and the rate terms shown in it set out the main details of the transaction.
2.3 Prices on the Website are in New Israeli Shekels and include VAT as required by law, unless stated otherwise. A tourist who is not an Israeli resident and meets the conditions set by law is exempt from VAT on accommodation services, subject to presenting a passport and the appropriate entry visa upon arrival at the Hotel.
2.4 Prices, offers and availability change from time to time. The binding price is the price displayed and accepted when the booking is made. An offer may have additional terms, which will be shown during booking and in the confirmation.
2.5 Payment. Payment methods available during booking may include credit card, bank transfer and other payment methods. Payment, charges and booking guarantees are subject to the selected rate’s terms and the instructions presented before confirmation. Payment services process the information necessary to complete the transaction and share it only with the financial intermediaries involved. Payment-related communications, including invoices and notifications, may be sent by the relevant service provider.
2.6 Booking error. If a material and obvious error occurs in the price or service details, such as a typing error or technical fault, the Hotel may cancel the booking.
2.7 Special bookings. Groups, conferences, events, travel-agent bookings, business bookings and bookings for more than 10 rooms are subject to specific terms provided during booking or directly by the Hotel.
2.8 The person making the booking is responsible for ensuring that the details provided are accurate, complete and current. If false details were provided, or the booking was made using a payment method that does not belong to the person making the booking and without its owner’s authorization, the Hotel may cancel the booking.
3.1 Rate terms. The cancellation and change terms for the selected rate will be shown before the booking is confirmed and included in the booking confirmation. Special terms for a particular rate apply subject to rights that cannot be waived under law.
3.2 Cancellation and changes. The following are the Hotel’s general terms. Specific rate terms shown during booking may provide otherwise, including for non-refundable rates, peak periods, holidays and special dates. In all cases, consumer rights that cannot be waived under law prevail.
Cancellation. If cancellation is received up to 7 days before arrival, no cancellation fee will be charged. If cancellation is received less than 7 days before arrival, or in the event of a no-show, the person who made the booking will be charged the first night, unless the rate terms shown at booking provide otherwise, and subject to law.
Changes. Requests to change dates, room type or number of guests are subject to availability and repricing at the rate in effect when the change is made.
Shortened stay. If a guest leaves early after the stay has begun, the charge will be determined by the rate terms confirmed at booking and applicable law.
No-show. Failure to arrive without cancelling in accordance with the booking terms is considered a no-show. The charge will be determined by the rate terms confirmed at booking and applicable law.
Refunds. Any refund due under the booking terms or law will, where possible, be returned to the payment method used for the booking, in accordance with applicable law and the payment provider’s procedures.
Force majeure. Requests arising from force majeure, government instructions or circumstances outside the Hotel’s control will be considered individually, subject to law and the booking terms.
Applicable law. These Terms are subject to all mandatory laws of the State of Israel. If these Terms conflict with applicable law, the law prevails.
3.3 A person with a disability, a senior citizen or a new immigrant (during the first five years after immigration), as defined by law, may cancel within four months of the booking, provided that the transaction included a conversation with the Hotel (including electronic communication) and cancellation takes place before the stay begins. The Hotel may request documentation confirming eligibility.
3.4 To cancel or change a booking, submit a written request by email to reservations@astoria.co.il, by telephone at 04-6722351, or through the booking-management link in the confirmation. State the name of the person who made the booking and the booking number. Cancellation takes effect when the Hotel confirms it.
4.1 Check-in time is 15:00 and check-out time is 11:00. Early check-in or late check-out may be requested, subject to availability and any additional charge.
4.2 Upon arrival, guests must present valid identification (an Israeli identity card or a tourist’s passport) and a credit card for security.
4.3 The number of guests in a room may not exceed the number stated in the booking or the maximum occupancy for that room type.
4.4 Smoking is prohibited at the Hotel except in designated areas. Pool operations are subject to weather conditions. Information about kashrut is available at the site.
4.5 The guest is responsible for any damage caused by them or anyone in their party to the room or Hotel property. The Hotel may charge the guest for the cost of the damage.
Joining the loyalty club is free of charge. The club’s benefits, scope and terms will be published from time to time, and the Hotel may change or discontinue them. A benefit cannot be exchanged for cash or combined with another benefit or offer unless stated otherwise. A member may leave the club at any time by contacting the Hotel. Use of loyalty-club members’ information is subject to the Privacy Policy.
6.1 All rights in Website content belong to the Hotel or to third parties that have licensed it to the Hotel. This includes text, photographs, videos, design, logo, trademarks and code. Content may be used for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not copy, distribute, publish or modify Website content without the Hotel’s prior written permission.
6.2 Photographs on the Website are for illustrative purposes. The actual room or service may differ from the photographs, for example in design, view or furnishings, depending on the room assigned.
6.3 The Hotel endeavors to keep Website information accurate and current, but errors or changes may occur. The Hotel may correct or update information at any time. Information about local attractions, events and businesses is provided for visitors’ convenience; their operators are responsible for it.
You may not use the Website:
(a) for an unlawful purpose or in a way that harms the Hotel, its guests or third parties;
(b) through automated means, such as robots, scripts or data-scraping tools, without prior written permission;
(c) to impersonate another person, or to make a booking using false details or an unauthorized payment method;
(d) to introduce viruses or malicious code, bypass Website security measures or interfere with its operation;
(e) to upload content that is abusive, threatening, defamatory or infringes rights.
The Hotel may block access to the Website or cancel the booking of anyone who breaches these Terms.
Anyone who sends us a review, recommendation, photograph or other content represents that they have the right to do so. They grant the Hotel permission, without compensation, to publish the content on the Website and Hotel channels, identifying them by first name or initials. The Hotel may choose not to publish content or may remove it.
The Website may include links to third-party websites and services, such as social networks, WhatsApp, maps and PayPal, if offered. The Hotel is not responsible for the content of those websites or their privacy policies. Simple Booking is integrated into the Website to make Hotel bookings; a booking made through it is a direct transaction with the Hotel.
10.1 The Hotel does not guarantee that the Website will operate without interruptions or errors, or that it will be protected from unauthorized access. If a booking may not have been received due to a fault, contact the Hotel to verify it. A booking for which no confirmation was sent is not binding on the Hotel.
10.2 Subject to applicable law, the Hotel will not be liable for indirect or consequential damage arising from use of the Website or reliance on information on it. These Terms do not limit the Hotel’s liability to a consumer under any law that cannot be waived, including the Consumer Protection Law.
10.3 Force majeure. The Hotel is not liable for delay or failure to provide a service caused by an event beyond its control. Such events include war, hostilities, an emergency, instructions from the Home Front Command or other authorities, an epidemic, earthquake, fire, strike or infrastructure outage. In such a case, the Hotel will seek to offer the guest an alternative date or a refund, as appropriate to the circumstances and law.
The Hotel works to make the Website and its services accessible to people with disabilities. An accessibility menu is available on the Website. Information about accessibility arrangements at the Website and Hotel, including the accessibility coordinator’s contact details, is provided in the accessibility statement. Accessibility Statement
These Terms and use of the Website are governed solely by the laws of the State of Israel. The competent courts in the Northern District have exclusive jurisdiction over matters relating to these Terms or the Website. This does not limit a consumer’s right to bring a claim in the court in whose jurisdiction the consumer resides, where the law grants that right.
